A handful of words I read slowly,
In the silent night full of memories,
From your hands far away,
You sent me news within a prayer.
You wrote from the city of Madinah,
A peaceful place full of blessings,
You spoke of calm and gentle skies,
And hearts serene in their prostration.
But the news from Palestine,
Made my tears fall upon the prayer mat,
Between joy and deep sorrow,
I prayed amid the silent dawn call.
You said the children there still smile,
Though the echoes of bombs shake the earth,
And I sat still in the quiet,
Whispering their names in every prostration of mine.
Madinah teaches peace,
Palestine teaches patience and love,
Two sacred lands in a single prayer,
Strengthening hearts amid the pain.
News from Madinah --- serene and calm,
News from Palestine --- full of grief and hope,
Two stories united within my chest,
Becoming prayers in every tear that falls.
Then dawn arrives carrying light,
I raise my hands to pray for the world,
For Madinah and Palestine,
May peace be theirs forever...
